Diploma programme in
Engineering and Technology

    Selection of candidates is as per the norms and guidelines laid down by DTE, Bangalore from time to time on merit basis; curriculum and evaluation are followed as prescribed by DTE, Bangalore.

ELIGIBILITY

The Eligibility conditions governed by the Director of Technical Education,
Bangalore, are as follows:
A) He/She must have passed S.S.L.C/CBSE Examination and studied
    Mathematics and Science subjects compulsorily with minimum 35% marks in
    each subject.
B) PUC passed/failed can apply.
C) ITI passed candidates will get lateral entry to 3rd Semester.
D) Non-Karnataka students should obtain eligibility certificate from the
     Directorate of Technical Education, Bangalore.
      However, the eligibility rules framed by DTE, from time to time are applicable.

      The selection of the students for admission to first year diploma course in Engineering is based on the result of S.S.L.C/ CBSE or any other Examination Equivalent to it, as recognized by the Karnataka Secondary Board, Bangalore. The Admission is subject to the final approval of DTE, Bangalore. Following documents are to be submitted during the admission.


1) Application form

2) Original Certificate
   a. School Leaving Certificate.
   b. S.S.L.C Marks Card.
   c. Study Certificate from School (minimum of 5 years)
   d. Transfer Certificate (For PUC & ITI students)
   e. Caste and Income Certificate.
   f. Eligibility Certificate from The Director of Technical Education, Bangalore. ( For Students belonging to other State).

3) 14 Passport size and 4 Stamp size Photographs.
4) Four sets of attested copies of documents.
5) Adhaar Card and Bank Passbook Xerox ( For Students seeking Scholarship).

 

ACADEMIC INFORMATION
 

Attendance
       Attendance is compulsory in all subjects (Theory & Practical) in the concerned course.
    Candidates are required to get at least 75% attendance of the total classes conducted in the semester in each and every subject, otherwise he/she will not qualify himself/herself to appear for the Semester Examination to be conducted by the Board of Technical Examination, Bangalore, at the end of each Semester.


Discipline
     Students should maintain perfect discipline within and outside the class. They must work quietly in the Drawing Hall, Laboratories & Workshops and in the Departments. Students should behave courteously with the members of the staff. They are forbidden from doing any damage to the property of the Institution. A student cannot remain absent himself/herself from the classes or examination without prior permission of the Principal. Smoking and Chewing of Pan, Gutaka, Tobacco etc. in the college premises is strictly forbidden.


Internal Assessment (IA Test)
      Internal Assessment Marks for each Subject will be of 25 Marks. Totally three IA Tests of 20 Marks with one hour duration are conducted; best of two IA test marks are considered for the IA marks. As per the circular of the Board of Technical Examinations, the IA test will be conducted as per the schedule. And 5 Marks are given based on the percentage of attendance.


Exams
   The Board of Technical Examination, Bangalore at the end of each Semester, will conduct the Examination. The marks secured in the Internal Assessment/Test, are being considered for Semester Examination.
